THE
PSALM
ROOM
…a more personal walk through the Psalms
Podcasts. Quick clips. Punchy lines. Clickbait. Hurry.
The Word. Meditate. Dwell. Heart-change. Peace.
In the Psalm Room, we can lean in. Lean in to the Word. Let it linger.
We can hear the Word and let it speak. We can stay for a minute. We can immerse and abide.
Here, we slow our steps and notice the lovely.
We walk through the Psalms together.
In this place,
the Psalms are:
read to you, thoughtfully
lovingly written out
and meaningfully considered
“…whatever is lovely… think about such things.”
Philippians 4:8
Psalm 1
An introduction to the Book of Psalms. Blessed is the man…
Psalm 2
No matter what the world does, the kings and rulers do…God is our refuge.
Psalm 3
Written by David. An encouragement that God knows his flock and He hears when they call.
Psalm 4
Written by David for stringed instruments. A reminder to confess our sins and recognize the Lord’s faithful provision.
Psalm 5
Written by David for flutes. Even from the depths of despair, God leads us and protects us.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
Psalm 100:4
Psalm 6
Written by David for stringed instruments. David is deep soul-pain, anguish. Even then, he fully believes God hears him.
Psalm 7
A shiggaion written by David concerning Cush, a Benjamite. In this Psalm, David is asking God to shield him. And he is so confident in God, he asks God to hold him accountable if he has committed wrong-doings. May we live with such faith ❤️
Psalm 8
How majestic is our Lord! David authors this writing, inviting us to admire all the Lord has done.
Psalm 9
We witness the success of evil everyday. And yet, we can rest assured that we are loved, guided, and protected.
Psalm 10
Mostly viewed as the second part of Psalm 9, these verses get very specific about praying against very evil deeds.
Psalm 63
Written by David in the Desert of Judah. Where the longing of the soul meets God. A personal favorite of mine 🌻
